Zombie Charge Hordes and Photo-Ops
Our collaboration with the Zombie Charge 5K obstacle course involved extensive and dynamic Makeup FX efforts. We trained a team of makeup artists to streamline the process, churning out thousands of zombies as the run traveled across the country. The assembly-line approach ensured that each participant had a memorable and haunting encounter with the undead. To enhance the participant experience, we crafted unique photo-op prosthetic zombie makeups for each event, guaranteeing that attendees captured their finish-line achievements in gruesome and lifelike detail.
As a central attraction, we designed a lightweight, giant 6′ zombie head photo-op that became a focal point at every race, providing an iconic backdrop for participants’ photos. Our Makeup FX work extended beyond the runs, encompassing numerous commercials to promote the events held in locations such as Connecticut, New Hampshire, Florida, and Texas. Additionally, we had the honor of applying Makeup FX for special guest Addy Miller, the very first zombie seen in The Walking Dead, as she dragged her teddy bear through the apocalyptic landscape, adding an extra layer of authenticity to the Zombie Charge experience.
