For the vibrant dancers at The Stranger club in NYC, we crafted oversized faux-papier-mâché heads, meticulously designed to emulate the charm of the crude homemade masks from the 1930s. Despite their appearance, these masks were ingeniously fabricated from lightweight foam and treated with a special coating, ensuring both durability and the enduring illusion of authentic paper-mache aesthetics. The result was a whimsical and eye-catching addition to the club’s atmosphere, capturing the nostalgic spirit of a bygone era while providing a durable and striking accessory for the talented dancers.
